We are looking for a dynamic and experiencedcandidate for Rooms Division Manager position who will be responsible for the planning and managing the operations of the supervised departments to achieve customer (guests, employees, corporate) satisfaction and quality service while meeting/exceeding financial goals. Rooms Division Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating activities of the Front Office, Reservation and Housekeeping departments in conjunction with the General Manager. Demonstrates and communicates short and long term focus. Responsible for delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel.
Scope of responsibilities:
- Manage the operations of the supervised departments in order to maximize profitability and to ensure superior guest service and product quality
- Develop, recommend, implement and manage the supervised departments’ annual and long term goals
- Ensure that supervised departments are maximizing revenue and profit potentials while minimizing costs
- Manages operational expenses to stay within budget guidelines, as well as gather and report financial information to the General Manager
- Manages performance issues that arise within the supervised departments, as well as train, develop, coach and counsel, conduct performance evaluations and resolve problems of departmental team members and managers
- Ensures optimal compliance with corporate focus audit
- Effectively communicates with team members
- Ensures guest and employee satisfaction, while maintaining market competitiveness and exceptional financial performance
- Anticipate and address guest issues and establish proactive processes to promote guest satisfaction
The successful candidate will have to possess:
- Minimum of 2 years operational management experience on managerial position in Front Office/Housekeeping department
- A strong understanding of hotel operations and administration to include, budgeting, forecasting, human resources, sales, pricing, revenue management and marketing
- Ability to study, analyze and interpret complex activities and/or information in order to improve new practices or develop new approaches
- Must have strong decision making skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must perform well under stress and be adaptable to changing work environments
- Ability to communication at all levels
- Ability to train and develop team members
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative
- Excellent organizational skills
- Computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software)
- Excellent English and Polish required
