RTR Team Leader

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading a team of RTR accountants in day to day operations
• Managing period-end closing procedure for the clients
• Training and mentoring new and existing accountants
• Providing accountant performance input to the operations supervisor
• Handling non-routine or complex requests and issues
• Identifying opportunities for improvement of governance, process and/or systems
• Ensuring team metrics are sustained and taking corrective actions if quality or service issues arise
• Monitoring workload to ensure that the Accounting Processors are picking up and resolving it in a timely manner
• Ensuring that the quality of accountant postings meet predefined targets
• Ensuring that the team follows the governance and process rules
• Other, as supervisor may order

QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in accounting (GL)
• 1+ years of experience as team leader or supervisor in Finance / Accounting / RTR
• Previous experience working with RTR within ssc/bpo structure
• A high level accountancy qualification (i.e. CIMA / ACCA) or commitment to obtaining one will be an asset
• Fluent English, both written and oral
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Working knowledge of SAP systems
• Attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team
• Good communication and leadership skills
• Good time management and ability to prioritize workload
• Analytical skills and ability to problem solve
• Readiness to work with different time zones
