This position is responsible for implementation of multiple configurable products within the SAP environment based on functional specifications provided by the product business. While this is primarily a programming position, the candidate will also be responsible for providing guidance, support and training of others who provide input to this process.
Essential Functions:
* Responsible for ensuring that all parties providing input to the workbook process are familiar with their roles and responsibilities.
* Coordinates activities between functions to ensure that workbooks are optimally configured and sustainable.
* Responsible for the creation of "Configured to Order catalog Numbers" (CTO) and "Characteristic-Search" (CS) configuration models in SAP.
* Responsible for implementation of configurable products in SAP through business activities such as but not limited to: ECN"s (engineering change notices) product series changes, new product additions and deletions, bill of materials and price changes in SAP.
* Responsible for maintaining the golden copy of the product workbook (Excel based data documentation) which is used to complete the SAP Modeling
* Responsible for product models from creation to completion, using the Excel Workbook, provided by the engineering and marketing team
* Works closely with Product Managers to understand and document product characteristics, rules, constraints such that they can be modeled into SAP.
* Captures/documents product characteristics, rules, constraints, etc.
* Maintains characteristics from CTO/CS Workbooks in SAP Variant Configurator
* Coordinate testing activities at business for CTO/CS workbook changes in SAP Variant Configurator then implements approved changes into Production environment
* Maintains vaulting & managing workbooks
* Collaborate with other functional teams including Engineering Change Control, Data Quality, Engineering Data Management, etc."
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Programming, Engineering, or related field.
* 3 to 4 year"s experience in software programming preferred. Experience in programming in a SAP environment preferred
