As a scrum master for two quantitative development teams you will have sufficient knowledge of financial products and be well versed with Agile Scrum methodologies. You will be in continuous contact with the teams and ensure that all scrum ceremonies and principles are adhered to. The scrum master is expected to serve and enable the team to reach its potential by eliminating any obstacle the team may face.
As a Scrum Master you will be responsible for:
- Facilitating the teams and their environment by running Team meetings, Agile Scrum ceremonies, and enforcing Agile behavior
- Motivating the teams
- Promoting self-organization
- Ensuring the focus of the teams by protecting them against interruptions and disturbances from the outside
- Removing impediments in order to maximize teams' performance
- Mentoring teams on agile practices to get them to a good level of maturity
- Implementing continuous improvements and improving standards
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- 2+ years' experience as a Scrum Master
- Demonstrable experience in delivering solutions using Agile Scrum
- Solid experience with all phases of software development lifecycle
- Proficient in the use of Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
- Good interpersonal relationship skills - required for building collaborative partnerships with stakeholders
- Strong written communication skills
- Organized and able to plan future activities based on prioritization of time, capacity and urgency
- Able to accommodate a challenging environment, where requirements may evolve throughout
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- An Agile Scrum Master Certification
- Experience in Risk IT (preferably Market Risk) in a business analysis role within a financial institution
- An understanding of Testing methodologies e.g. Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development
