Responsibilites
Tasks:
- Analyse complexity and feasibility of new or changed requirements. Advise on existing and planned systems, Client’s standards and guidelines (requirement engineering)
- Within specified architecture, define platform requirement sizing, network and controlling components and system software. Define necessary technical and human resources. Investigate possible alternative scenarios and verify feasibility.
- Plans and evaluates systems, creates technical specifications and develops and unit and basic integration testing according to specified requirements.
- Level 3 Support (Escalation point for Level 2 Support Organisation in case of incidents
- Act as a partner for Business Analysts regarding requirements specification
- Maintain documentation relevant to operations (operation manual, installation guide, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Is responsible for the handover of installation manuals and release notes to the integrator/deployer on behalf of SWCM.
- Is responsible that client application deployment and configuration management standards are fulfilled in the respective application systems.
- Is responsible to integrate 3rd party software into the bank (off the shelf or on behalf client development).
- Ensures standardization according to the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) definitions and other client’s standards.
- Ensures high quality and timely and cost-effective preparation of software deployment to development, test and production environments.
- Is responsible to collect and deliver a system engineering effort estimate on request for projects.
- Is responsible to contribute information at hand of PM regarding risks and issues.
Requirements
- An experienced (5 years+) MS SQL Server application DBA.
- Strong logical and Physical database design, optimization, indexing on at least one major platform. Advanced understanding of data schema design and data relationships is essential.
- Strong MS Excel skills including VBA, pivots, complex charting and data bindings.
- Data ETL / middleware processing experience is essential.
- Familiarity with Enterprise IT security concepts, enterprise access control implementations and understanding enterprise IT environments from a Security IT perspective.
- To work within the Identity and Access Management area, where previous experience of working with this aspect of IT Security would be beneficial.
- The role will be aligned specifically to access management and supporting the development of tooling, process and procedures for segregation of duties.
- Experience of using scripting languages (e.g. Perl, vbscript, Windows batch files and PowerShell).
- Experience of working with source code control tooling and Subversion in particular.
Nice to have:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Proven record in a IT Security Engineering role.
- Solid skill-set for the underlying operating system of the target platform (Unix, Windows, Mainframe).
- Experience with using Web based and/or middleware technologies (Apache/TomCat, WebSphere etc.).
- Experience with using Database technologies (MS-SQL, Oracle, DB2)
- Experience in engineering a detailed design of highly available, high capacity geographically distributed applications.
- Programming/debugging skills - Java, scripting languages etc.
- Experience integrating applications into operational support tools (e.g. monitoring/alerting tools).
- Experience packaging applications for deployment onto production infrastructure.
- Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal) in order to liaise with internal and vendor team members.
