Corporate Controller Group (CCG) is comprised of several groups that are committed to supporting business processes with a high level of integrity and credibility through developing, influencing and implementing global financial policy and process and effective partnering. Senior Accountant is responsible for Local Financial Statutory Financial Statements for EMEAR core entities.
The Team:
The GAR (Global Accounting and Reporting) is a team within CCG and comprises of Senior Accountants and Controllers who are accountable for the correctness of USGAAP and Local GAAP numbers of the several Cisco entities. GAR oversees tax and accounting compliance by coordinating various compliance vendors as well as by working closely with external auditors.
In your internal and external partners oriented role you will be responsible for:
● Statutory Financial Statement Preparation for a selected number of legal entities / Tax co-ordination with respect to FS delivery
● Manage relationship with Senior Accountant for the legal entities you are responsible for to ensure that materials are delivered on time for you to prepare the local Financial Statements
● Cover local statutory items that are needed to ensure we can file local FS
● Manage relationship with outsourced Tax service provider as needed for compliance, execution, and associated local filings and audits as required.
● Main point of contact for the Tax compliance vendor to ensure that local General Ledgers are maintained as required. Provide review and assurance on all areas of the Local General Ledger with regard to Financial Statement preparation including reconciliation for US to local GAAP differences.
● Act as key focal point to ensure Financial Statements are signed by Directors in accordance with local laws
● Report out on Key changes that are required for future periods and look for continuous improvement opportunities
● Responsible for periodical review of local compliance changes with regard to Financial Statements

● Fluent English.
● Ability to work with others in a formal process for solving issues and problems.
● Willing to undertake occasional travel to ensure compliance in the regions. Education and certifications: Degree in Finance or Accounting.
● An achieved or part-achieved Accounting certification/ ACCA.
