YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a team player with the desire to be an active, long-term contributor in the growth of the accounting team and organization overall.
- Secure compliance with local tax (VAT, CIT) and statutory regulations. Be responsible for timely submission of necessary tax declarations and preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Review and control reconciliation process at monthly / quarterly closing cycles.
- Identify and resolve issues across different sets of financial data.
- Identify opportunities to improve closing activities.
- Generate complex financial reports, according to IFRS standards (monthly, quarterly and annually).
- Identify & provide key financial data to enable decision making at senior leadership level.
- Ensure implementation and understanding of the financial policies and procedures in compliance with local legislation and the company rules.
- Cooperate with internal and external auditors and stakeholders.
- Ensure Internal control is in place, takes a leading role in mitigating tax risks.
- Cooperate with SSC and external tax advisors.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Finance / Accounting within internationally present service company / companies.
- Very good command of both English and German languages (mandatory requirement).
- Analytical skills with readiness to question the status quo and propose changes and improvements to accounting processes.
- Highly motivated person with a keen eye for detail and accuracy while keeping bigger picture in mind.
- Deep understanding of how operational processes link to the financial statements.
- Degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: MS Office, particularly Excel, and an ERP system (e.g. Oracle)
- Compliance & controllership orientation.
