- Create business requirements documentation based on information received from business
- Formulate and create Functional Specification documentation, in close working with Application owners/Solution architects
- Analyse technical project requirement documentation received from Application Management, for functional impacts
- Create and modify business facing documentation (e.g. user manuals, solution briefs, functional summaries)
- Support testing on behalf of users, operations, and testing teams potentially including test plans, test cases, test-data and review of interface testing between different applications, when required
- Work with application developers to resolve functional issues from user acceptance testing (UATs) to help find solutions for various functional issues
- Work with Application Management area for functional area trouble shooting and resolution to reported bugs / issues on applications.
- Experience implementing appications across different product classes within an Asset management or Wealth management business
- Experience facing to business users, technical teams and compliance
- Experience in working with business requirements and detailing them into System level Functional Specifications.
- Analytical ability to ensure comprehensiveness and detail level articulation of in analyzing and specifying of functional details
- Ability to communicate functional level details to technical analysts and solution developers - to support transition, translation and development.
- Ability to quickly troubleshoot and establish functional issues in production, solution testing, etc.
- Possess basic level understanding of technical aspects including middleware, to independently run interfaces tests (between applications, services)
The Managed Account Platform (MAP) is still in its adoption phase. This project Up to now, the solutions implemented have mainly been tactical in nature in order to provide the business working functionality to assist their current everyday processes. These simple small fixes are paving the gateway to strategic solutions (not all of which are applications - e.g. workflow changes and operational and business process improvements).
Current day to day problems (such as data loss, incorrect or inaccurate derived data, manual overrides) have been minimized however are still ever present. The strategic solutions will overcome these problems, moving the business from predominately manual spreadsheet operations to STP and full front to back automation.
The Managed Account Platform is an ideal project to explore vendor capabilities. The automated investment guideline/compliance concept has raised interest across other areas of AWM and this may potentially filter throughout the bank making a quick transition and roll-out to a Vendor necessary to meet the demand.
