About the department
Accounts Receivable department supports Coloplast entities across the globe in ensuring that Customer Accounts are up to date. We are a group of over 30 people that perform cash applications, collect direct debit, prepare dunning letters & customer statements, deliver aging reports, supports debt collection, and continuously work on improving Accounts Receivable processes. Accounts Receivable is part of Global Finance Support located in Szczecin.
About the job
Senior AR Accountant is responsible for Cash Application for selected Coloplast entities. The responsibility includes booking incoming and outgoing bank transactions and ensuring that bank balances are reconciled to bank statements.
Your responsibilities:
- Posting bank statements and allocating incoming payments
- Resolving discrepancies on cash allocation
- Daily contact with customers and/or business stakeholders
- Conducting activities related to the closing of the month and preparation of reconciliation report
- Work cross-functionally with international teams to improve accounting processes and reporting to ensure an efficient and accurate flow of information between teams
- Maintain accurate and complete financial records and coordinating internal and external audit processes
- Identifying and solving cross-process issues
- Streamlining accounting operations, recommending and implementing process improvements
Requirements
- Proven experience in Financial Accounting (more than 3 years)
- Proficient written and verbal English skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Office (advanced MS Excel, VBA, Power Query)
- Nice to have but not mandatory – Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economy, Business Management or similar
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Desire and ability to build subject matter expertise across various areas
- Developed critical thinking skills; an ability to gain and apply knowledge
- Ability to optimize operational processes and sustainably increase the efficiency of the accounting department
