As an Audit Area Head, you will be leading the FM/WB Audit team of ING Bank Śląski SA, a team of approx. 5 expert Auditors. You will prepare FM/WB Audit Strategy and supervise audits in the area of Financial Markets, Wholesale Banking and Market Risk Management. This means that you will be responsible for identification of key financial and non-financial risks, assessing the design and the operating effectiveness of related controls, including compliance with key external regulations and process governance. Audits are often performed in close cooperation with business senior management, IT Audit Team and ING Group auditors and relate to the latest external and internal developments. You will be reporting directly to Chief Audit Executive of ING Bank Śląski SA and become member of its management team.
As an FM/WB Audit Area Head, you have an in-depth knowledge of highly specialized financial markets and large corporate environments, supported by good understanding of banking industry. You use your expertise and strong analytical skills to identify the areas of focus within our FM/WB Audit strategy and individual audits. You are naturally proactive, critical and curious, and you search for missing information on your own initiative. You have strong verbal and written communicative skills and interpersonal capabilities. Therefore, you know how to ask the right questions and get the right information, even when you have to overcome resistance. You are accurate, creative in your solutions and you describe yourself as a team player who is capable of working in international teams, as well as independently when the task at hand requires this. Also, you are keen on self-development.
- a (executive) master degree, preferably in Economy or Finance;
- minimum 10 years relevant experience, including minimum 3 years of experience as team manager;
- in-depth expert knowledge of FM transactions, market risk management, corporate lending, including financial institution, leasing and factoring, custodian services;
- skills to motivate and inspire employees to excel in their job and give them feedback in such a way that the people value and respect your opinion;
- effective communication to executives;
- ability to manage change and to work in stressful conditions;
- experience with international and complex organisations;
- knowledge of English at an Advanced level (both written and spoken);
- audit professional certification.
- to develop semi-annually the FM/WB Audit Strategy, in close cooperation with the Chief Audit Executive, and translate it into objectives of individual audits;
- to ensure quality and co-ordination of FM/WB audit tasks within the Audit Department, ING Bank Śląski SA and with ING Group audit function;
- to supervise over the execution of the audits and process of verification of the effective implementation of audit recommendations;
- to sign off audit reports;
- to build and maintain relationships with ING Bank Śląski S.A. executives and other key stakeholders of Internal Audit Department and ING Group audit function;
- development of the team, including motivating, training, coaching and knowledge sharing.
