Group Data Services organisation provides technology and business process support to the Global Operations Control function and a broad range of stakeholders throughout the Investment Bank including the Front Office business lines, Operations, Credit and Legal & Compliance.
The applications developed and deployed by GDS enable the sourcing and distribution of high-quality instrument, partner and reference data throughout the firm. The GDS function is spread geographically across the locations of London, New York, Krakow, Singapore, Zurich and Tokyo.
Data Distribution department within a Bank covers several platforms which deal with client, trading account, book, instrument, legal entity data gathering from "Golden Sources", data storage, validation and propagation to downstream systems within a Bank infrastructure. The key challenge is to guarantee fast propagation and quality of the data.
The MDF is a strategic application for distribution of Reference Data to other applications within Data IT. MDF provides interface for fast access to client, account, legal entity and instrument data stored in application cache via REST API.
