Senior Business Analyst

Responsibilites
- Learning the DRD system and front to back architecture
- Using that knowledge to validate work requests, requirements and analysis
- Owning and being the lead analyst on projects, ensuring the requirements and solution design are complete and valid
- Completing data analysis and defining data models and mappings
- Clearly documenting project information and solutions and ensuring knowledge is disseminated around the team
- Reviewing, supporting and when necessary planning and executing testing (QA, integration testing or UAT)
- Working on both large (strategic) and small (Business As Usual) projects within an agile lifecycle methodology
- Working with DRD project management, development and QA teams as well as other Credit Suisse teams (IT and business) to own and deliver projects
- Supporting and guiding more junior members of the BA team
- Peer reviewing other BAs documents
- Completing ad-hoc data analysis
Requirements
- 5 - 10 years systems and data analysis experience
- Good SQL and understanding of database concepts is essential (no PL SQL required)
- Experience in data modelling
- Experience in testing data flows and mappings, both internal to a system and between systems
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills
- Confident and effective written and oral communication to both technical and non-technical
people
- Good documentation skills
- Ability to lead projects
- Proactive, self-motivated and flexible with a positive attitude
- Efficiency at multi-tasking and ability to work under pressure to deliver multiple business
demands on-time and to a high standard
- Ability to learn new business situations and IT systems quickly
- Team player with strong collaboration and relationship building skills
- Experience mentoring and or coaching is an advantage

The Derivatives Results Database (DRD) collects valuations and trade details from multiple risk and trade capture systems, providing a consolidated source of OTC valuations for downstream departments including Product Control, Collateral, Client Statements, Risk and Prime Services.
DRD is a key component in the strategic derivatives architecture that is implemented across the investment bank. The candidate will play an important role continuing the delivery of the system, sourcing additional product types, improving the control framework and the overall performance and scalability of the system.
