Senior Business Analyst

Responsibilites
- Proficient at resolving day-to-day support Level 3 Incident Management support for business issues and ensuring effective and timely resolution with completing high priority issues. Duties include resolving and tracking user issues; designing, specifying, testing and documenting program modifications and functional enhancements,
- Take ownership of critical issues, enlist proper representation from other IT support teams and drive towards resolution,
- Define Business Requirements and document them, including for data sourcing and reporting, and produce functional specifications accordingly for use by technical team,
- Ability to query large volumes of data using SQL/Select statements or other tools or analyze the results in order to determine production issues and determining other useful information for IT,
- Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and the ability to take data from internal systems and prepare it for analysis or transform it into meaningful and actionable information and develop and run queries against the data or create user friendly reports/dashboards/data visualization to help answer business queries,
- Proficient at performing system monitoring reviewing system and application logs and verifying the completion of scheduled jobs,
- Escalate issues timely, objectively and with sensitivity to team dynamics,
- Ad-Hoc reporting in special situations.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' experience in troubleshooting customer related issues and managing customer relationships required,
- Degree from an accredited university, preferably in Finance, Computer Science or other related discipline, or comparable industry experience,
- Experience with Oracle, PL-SQL (Moderate),
- Experience implementing medium to large-scale projects from design through production phases, preferably in the Financial Services industry,
- Ability to demonstrate self-initiative as well as take direction and escalate issues as appropriate,
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills,
- Demonstrate active listening skills,
- Proficient at creating, maintaining and updating operational documentation.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with bank products,
- Familiarity with IT platforms and understanding of all phases of an application development life cycle and development methodologies,
- Knowledge of JIRA and ServiceNow tools.
