- 5+ years of professional C++ experience
- Asynchronous programming paradigms
- Familiarity with SSE and other accelerator technologies a plus
- GPU programming experience a plus
- Cross-platform coding
- Self-motivated, ability to work in a distributed, international, virtual team
- Mathematics/ Physics background paired with the ability to think in abstract spaces and concepts
- Communication skills: Good written and spoken English, can successfully explain these, even to laymen, and is able to document his designs and code as part of a published API
- Capability to translate these designs into efficient and reliable program code
- Strong interest in compression technology; image and audio processing is a plus
- Experience and strong interest in performance tuning of algorithms, based on deep understanding of computer and processor architectures
- Get comfy in other people’s source code quickly
- Black-box debugging (external SDKs)
- Test-driven development
- Willingness to take on team- or product-group-related tasks (pair programming, mentoring, debugging, advise internal clients) once in a while
- Prior scrum-based development exposure is a plus
