Senior C# Developer

Responsibilites
- We deliver a front-end, risk analysis application to a global business - your work will be used in major financial centres worldwide including London, New York, Tokyo, Singapore and Zurich.
- Our developers primarily use C#, WPF, .net4, and have started migrating our front end to HTML5. You will help shape the new technologies we use as a team in the future.
- You will be developing the front-end tools used on the Trading Desks in London and New York within the GUI framework, as well as backend processes/services that support the front end clients, through rapid prototyping and high frequency iterations of potential solutions.
- In addition, many requirements are driven by IT: diagnostic tools and functional requirements in our area of work will be beneficial to IT to diagnose problems as much as for trading. Work must also fit within the larger team based in London and Wroclaw, and you will need to adhere to the various development and release cycle standards.
- You will work alongside another developer co-located in Wroclaw and the wider development team located in Wroclaw and London. Together with an established development community and QA team based in Wroclaw.
Requirements
- Good understanding of C#, .NET, WCF, with exposure to WPF. HTML5 skills a bonus, as well as the other tools and technologies we use including SQL, JIRA, TeamCity, and SVN.
- Understanding of the client-server architecture and be able to develop both client and server side code.
- Having excellent communication skills and be quick to respond to new requirements.
- Having excellent problem solving skills, an ability to work with a sense of urgency, whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Understanding of requirements from traders and other users, and be able to discuss these with stakeholders.
- Be pro-active and a self-starter.
- Taking a set of requirements or picking up an issue, taking ownership, creating and managing a set of tasks to develop a solution, and driving the solution through to successful delivery.
- Developing test packs and technical documentation where necessary.
- Assisting in supporting and training users.
- Working closely with colleagues in London, so fluent written and spoken English is a must.

The objective of the Core Visualisation and Reporting stream is to provide high quality risk visualisation tools and distribution service for use across multiple projects. The Risk Portal offers end users ability to design, upload & review reports prior to publishing them. Each report can either be an interactive report or a standard pdf report.
