Senior Collections Specialist - Team Lead

Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for timely cash collection
- Investigating and reviewing credit risks involving customers and suppliers
- Contact internal and external customers and provide customer service
- Perform detailed account reconciliation to identify and facilitate resolution of disputed receivables
- Actively manage performance metrics for the account portfolio
- Achieve monthly collection and quality targets
- Analyze customer needs and build customer relationships
- People Management (work planning, supervising employees)
- Supervise the team on receiving and addressing vendor inquiries, ensuring that all queries are addressed and escalated when necessary
- Participate in client meetings to discuss debtor performance and address issues as required
- Be proactive and innovative with ideas to improve service / deliverables to the client
Processes:
- Process collection activities
- Handle query/ dispute from Customers
- Assist Cash Application to apply payment
- Prepare paperwork for write off and approval
- Prepare performance report
- Attend conference call with client management
- Refund processing
- Prepare/ update process documentation
Qualifications:
- 3 to 4 years of demonstrated work experience managing collections function
- 1 to 2 years of experience in team management, leading and motivating a team to achieve goals
- A primary degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Accountancy
- Strong understanding of collections activities and transactions
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability and confidence to operate at senior levels within client and Accenture organizations
- Strong customer service skills to resolve disputes effectively and maintain customer relationships
- Strong client driven focus and result orientation
- Strong people management, teaming and collaboration skills
- Self-starter with good time management to meet strict deadlines
- Strong problem solver with an analytical approach, with the ability to deal effectively in high pressure and dynamic situations
- Strong experience in MS Excel and competence with other PC based applications (MS Office)
