As a Software Configuration Management Engineer you will be responsible for defining and implementing configuration management activities for projects and products, at all points in the lifecycle. That means getting involved in bids, designs, production and service support. You will play a key role in a variety of projects, which are at the forefront of technology, in an exciting environment which will stretch your abilities and allow for innovation.
Aspects of the role include also:
- Setting up CI (Team City) for all components being developed within the project.
- Automation of compilation, building and packaging to e.g. rmps.
- Configuring tools for static and dynamic code analysis.
- Managing NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
- Setting up monitoring for application and processes (utilizing e.g. Geneos, Zabbix.
- Provide third level support for the existing systems where required.
- Excellent organizational, problem solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Min. 5-7 years of experience in using and configuring Continuous Integration systems such as TeamCity or Jenkins.
- Very good knowledge of network file systems
- Excellent knowledge of C++ chain tool (cmake, make) as well as Java (maven, ant, gradle). Proven experience in using at least two of those in enterprise projects.
- Minimum of 2 years of DB experience
- Strong Python and/or Bash skills
- Experience with all phases of the systems development lifecycle, understanding of agile methods
- Understanding of standard change control policies and procedures and ideally experience working in an IT environment with change control procedures
- Experience with source control (both Subversion and Git)
- Experience of standard SQL Databases (e.g. MySQL)
Preferred qualifications/experience:
- Awareness of test-driven development and design
- Experience of working in a continuous integration environment
- Experience with NoSQL Databases
- Business knowledge of Credit Risk (preferable)
- Experience with UNIX (Linux preferred)
We are developing a brand new platform to calculate counterparty credit risk. It is designed as a service oriented architecture. Components are written in C++, Java and Python. The team is looking for a configuration engineer with database skills to build new calculation models for the risk system. The development team is based in London, Poland & Singapore.
