- Your job first and foremost is to contribute to the development of the product and guide the future evolution of the system. It is crucial to design for today's requirements, but at the same time keep in mind future evolution of the system.
- Monitor and tune all Oracle instance components and objects
- Tune performance of a mission critical production environment
- Tune performance of SQL and PL/SQL scripts
- Identify, analyze, and resolve performance bottlenecks on a timely basis
- Review and approve all schema changes
- Enforce and maintain database constraints
- Assist with impact analysis of any database related changes
- Provide technical support to application development teams
- Build, maintain, and enhance all library packages/functions in PL/SQL to support application process
- Liaise with internal Oracle support team
- At least 3 years of hands-on technical experience as a development DBA or PL/SQL Developer
- Expertise in Oracle 12+ and related tools
- Sound knowledge of Oracle XML DB
- Very good understanding of various XML-related concepts
- Understand logical data modelling and convert logical data model to physical data model
- Experience in performance tuning of a multi-terabyte data warehouse production environment
- Understanding of NoSQL database concepts and proven practical experience
- Object-Oriented Design skills
- Very good inter-personal skills and ability to communicate processes and requirements effectively
Nice to have
- Knowledge of Java and scripting languages
- Evidence of formal Oracle training and certifications
