Business Analysis:

The project is about a core Front Office system used in PB&WM Zurich for Trade Capture, Risk Management, P&L calculation, Product Lifecycle Management and Reporting. This is a widely used vendor system from SunGard and in PB&WM Zurich is used across Equity, Fixed Income, Structured Products, Primary Issuance and Sales.
The product types supported include; Bond, Cap, Certificate, CLN, CDS, Curr/FX, CurrSwap, Deposit, Equity Index, ETF, Floor, FRN, Future/Forward, Index Linked Bond, Option, Stock, Structured Notes, Swap, Total Return Swap, Swaption, Warrant, Zero Bonds.
The system is in use at the company since 2002 and over time has been enhanced/adapted/customised to fit particular requirements from users. We are now engaged in a major transformational project which will include:
- Migrating to Windows/MS SQL Server from Unix/Sybase
- Upgrading to Front Arena 2015.1
- Building of Trade Loaders to the Strategic Risk Engines
- Building Counterparty Data interface to enable the removing of identifying data from the DB
- Integration of Reporting with the Strategic Risk and Valuation Engines
