Responsibilites
Key Responsibilities
- Create / provide solution design documentation
- Support existing BAU projects and tasks
- Integrate/implement components in solution releases
- Provide technical guidance to operations and work together with other global engineering teams
- Carry out testing of engineered products
- Provide 3rd level support on various virtualization technologies (Citrix products)
- Liaise with vendors
Requirements
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Understanding of various cloud technologies related to VDI
- Very good understanding of IT infrastructures including networking technologies
- Very good hands-on experience with XenDesktop 7.x (must) / XenApp 7.x (additional asset)
- Very good hands-on experience in scripting with PowerShell
- Basic hands-on experience with following products: VMware vSphere, Microsoft Windows Servers (2008, 2012).
- Good problem solving skills
- Very good written and spoken English
- Higher Degree in Information Technology
- Minimal 1 year experience in engineering of Citrix products (XenApp, XenDesktop)
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Programming skills (preferable C#, java)
- Knowledge of Thin Client technologies (Dell-Wyse, HP)
- Understanding of Linux technologies
We offer
The main scope of the project is to deliver a new XenApp environment based on FMA architecture and version 7.x of Citrix components. Within the project scope is also integration of XenApp components with cloud technologies.
The project also covers the migration of existing 6.5 XenApp environment to new architecture.
The tasks related to development / engineering of current VDI infrastructure will be also a significant position in candidates duties.
