Department Overview
Motorola Solutions Finance Operations Center (F.O.C.) provides world-class finance, accounting and purchasing services to Motorola branches in Europe, Middle East, Africa, US and Latin America region. This is an exciting opportunity to join an important position on the Airwave Finance team being part of Motorola. The mission of the Airwave Finance team is to deliver value to the Airwave business by providing finance support through timely, data-driven analysis, effective resource planning and management of business performance to help our business partners execute on their strategic and operational imperatives that contribute to strong financial performance.
Job Description
In this role, you will be a financial analyst supporting critical finance and accounting operations for the monthly close process of the Airwave Business. You will work closely with various department heads and their finance business partners to ensure all monthly activity is accurately captured and processed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Performing monthly analysis/reporting of BGM Budgets
- Company Car Scheme, Capex Assets Under Construction and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support for month/quarter end close activities such as journal entries and workday forecasts forecasts, along with variance analysis to expected results.
This role will play a critical role in analyzing monthly results and providing details back to both Airwave Finance and Corporate Motorola Finance. This is a great opportunity for an individual with strong analytical skills who interested in career growth and learning about a unique business within Motorola Solutions.
Krakow based with travel to Slough Office in the UK on occasion (especially at the start)
Basic Requirements
- Minimum 4 years experience working in Finance / Accounting roles
- Month End/Quarter End Accounting Close experience
- Strong system skills including MS Office, SAP, Essbase, and Oracle are a plus
- Degree in Finance and/or Accounting
- Accounting Certifications are a plus
- Understanding of financial and accounting procedures
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, and curiosity to advance the position
- Exercises good judgment, and comfortable working at a detailed level under time constraints
- Financial Modeling skills a plus
