Senior J2EE Web Developer

As a Senior J2EE Web Developer you will contribute to the design and implementation of Java and XLM based applications as well as the respective maintenance and 3rd level support (potentially in a later phase). In addition to performing hands-on design, implementation and (potentially) 3rd level support tasks you will:

• liaise with Business Analysis to contribute to requirements engineering process and respective reviews
• conduct effort estimates for the respective project's engineering, testing and integration tasks

Must have:

Successful candidates should have 5+ years' experience in similar positions and are expected to have excellent technical and interpersonal skills. You should be able to understand our partners' requirements and quickly resolve any potential issue both in the project as well as in the productive environment. You are expected to have a successful track record in a similar environment for both of the two disciplines in scope here:

• e2e software development lifecycle with focus on the integration of 3rd party components
• incident management, problem analysis in a complex environment with remote, multi-tiered installations

From a technical point of view you should have in depth knowhow and profound experience (with demonstrated practice during the last 5 years) in the following areas:

• Java and J2EE including clearly demonstrated knowledge of J2EE design patterns
• J2EE component architecture, especially backend and security integration.
• Servlets, JSP, Hibernate, Spring MVC, JPA
• Websphere, Maven
• SQL, XML, XSLT, XPath
• Shell scripting, Perl
• IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate mgmt., etc.)

Nice to have:

• Oracle expertise would be a plus
• UNIX experience as a system engineer would be a plus

The target of the project is design and implementation of new Java and XLM based applications as well as the respective maintenance and 3rd level support in the future. It is a generic solution that provides Client Identifying Data which is extracted from specified documents held in the CID-containing archives. The extracted data is anonymized and validated to ensure that no CID is still present. The solution has a complex architecture based on Unix, J2EE, WebSphere and Oracle. Now we are looking for developers who will be responsible for development of the presentation layer of this new solution.
