Description:
Software senior developer for input management. Capturing documents and data from paper, electronic files, and other sources, transforming it into digital content or with automated text recognition within images (OCR) and delivering it into content management systems and business processes.
Responsibilities:
- Module design (requirement analysis, search for information on solutions, specify and document design);
- Programing of software modules (write, compile, debug and execute source code, algorithms and data structures);
- Planning a source code structure;
- Optimizing source code for better performance;
- Performing code re-factoring;
- Reviewing source code;
- Developing and performing unit/module test including test results analysis and initial root cause analysis;
- Problem analysis and escalation;
- Specifying, developing, setting up and maintaining design and integration environment;
- Coaching of junior colleagues, actively contributes to knowledge sharing and to a learning culture;
- Innovating software development processes; 12. Finding innovative solution for product design.
Requirements
- General knowledge about software development;
- Knowledge or ability to quickly familiarise themselves and work with unknown applications from input management (EMC Captiva, OpenText RecoStar);
- Sound, domain specific software language knowledge (Java);
- Jboss (Unix Shell programming);
- Web development (XML, HTML, Perl, JavaScript);
- Basic Database knowledge (Oracle, MS-SQL);
- General knowledge about structure of image formats (Jpeg, Tiff);
- Knowledge in payment formats (SEPA);
- General knowledge about local project management and software engineering processes;
- Business understanding (e.g. ensuring that technical solution are simple, reliable and cost effective);
- Fluent in English, spoken and written.
