We are looking for strong developers and leads for Core Hadoop/Big Data team in Krakow.
Key technologies used in the project: Java and Hadoop.
Claudera (Manager, Impala, etc) stack is additional.
Project Team structure:
- The Customer, Project Management and End Users are US/UK based.
- Business analysts on the first stage are in US/UK, then a team in Luxoft can be organized.
- Development team consists of:
*Core Hadoop team: Krakow *Reporting team *QA team, SL3 team
Requirements for Core Hadoop team:
1) Strong knowledge of Java programming language 2) previous working experience with BigData Hadoop (preferably 3-5 years) 3) Readiness for business trip/knowledge transfer in UK/US at least 1-2 months per year. Mandatory trainings/business trips in UK/US on the initial stage of the project. 4) Fluent communication in English language

Project goal: to develop a central pre- and post-trading system processing and reporting system for a big Investment bank domain. It should receive the data from a huge amount of the data sources, like exchanges, regulators (government), 3rd party data providers, internal Bank systems in various formats. The data should be verified across each other, some enrichment from external sources should be done. As the result, there should be a tons of reports, provided in different formats to subscribers, and to Rich UI.
One of the main recipients of such data should be the Main Portal of the Bank. The system in a future should be a Single Golden data source for other Bank and 3-d parties systems for any data related to Pre-and Post-trading.
The key factors of the system should be: ability to process a huge amount of a data in a real-time. (up to 500 million transactions per a day), scalability and maintainability.
