Senior Java Developer with Low-latency or Networking experience

Responsibilites
- Java development in the global team working on existing production systems, many of which are very latency-sensitive ("Zero-GC" java)
- Be responsible for stability of our mission-critical applications
- Be in a L3 support rota
Requirements
Technical skills:
- Strong in Core Java
- JVM memory management and Zero-GC programming (low-latency java)
- Adhere to software development process (Agile SDLC) and contribute to a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of software data-structures and algorithms
- Clean coding skills and excellent problem solving ability.
- Experience with project and issue tracking tools (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
Soft-skills:
- Strong focus on ownership of issues and commitment to resolving them
- Strong Verbal and written communication skills
- Upper-Intermediate English
Would be a plus:
- Development expertise in high performance, high availability, high throughput, low latency distributed system
- Knowledge of TCP/IP principles, including UDP, multicast, broadcast - as required for system performance tuning
- Network programming with Java NIO
- Ability to read C++ code
- Experience in UNIX shell scripting and build systems, such as Ant
- Knowledge of financial industry

Here, you will be working on projects for one of our world famous clients in Financial industry, major Investment bank.
The Market Data Team is responsible for suite of interfaces, connecting to the North American equities markets and distributing low-latency real-time market data between internal systems, such as:
- Internal algorithmic Trading systems,
- Order Management systems,
- Compliance reporting, Tick databases,
- Matching engines and manual Trading GUIs.
Our software projects typically include:
- interfacing to market data vendors,
- coding exchange direct feed handlers, or
- implementing internal market data distribution mechanisms.
