The candidate will be responsible for technical analysis, development and implementation of the Portal application and components as well as participating in QA and code reviews, and handling second level production support.
The candidate may work on both strategic and Business As Usual application enhancements and defects for the projects in the areas of integration with different systems and applications, development of portlets and widgets for content on boarding and re-engineering of existing application interfaces.
This is a senior development role and as such the candidate may be required to work without direct supervision while still adhering to project specifications and timelines.
Design and implement TS Portal platform.
Lead other developers and guide technical projects
Create automated test plans and write tests
Program daily in AngularJS, JQuery, Bootstrap and other JS libraries.
Build out unit tests and other automated tests.
Build out new features and iterate on existing features.
Collaborate with business analysts and back-end developers to define
functional requirements
Minimum 2-3 years of IT experience is essential.
Real world web and service development experience.
Proven expertise in some common Javascript frameworks such as Angular, JQuery and Bootstrap
Experience with server-side templating languages like Jade, EJS, etc
Experience with HTML & CSS frameworks such as bootstrap.
Experience with web services API integration (Rest, JSON, XML).
Understanding of general user experience and UI design principles.
Exposure to distributed technologies required - JAVA, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, SOAP-WSDL, JNDI, JDBC XML, Struts, Spring, Hibernate, JMS, JavaScript and other related Web technologies;
Unix/Linux experience is required. Sound knowledge of version control & debugging tools
Experience with design and implementation of relational model for web applications (Oracle DB, SQL)
Knowledge on Open Source tools used in development process (like Subversion, Git, STAF)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
The project is connected with an infrastructure engineering organization. We are responsible for lifecycle management and engineering of all current and future infrastructure products, platforms and services. The portal has been identified as a key deliverable in our Service Transformation project. Additional benefits include improving quality and time to market of other dependent solutions.
