The position:
We arere looking for a Senior Java Developer to join the development team and help our Client to build new future.
As part of a multi-cultural scrum team made of senior Java developers collaborating with front-end developers working on a variety of technologies (AngularJS, ColdFusion, ...), your primary focuses will be to analyze business requirements, develop and maintain our RESTful APIs according to specifications and our batch processes but also to realize technical analysis on how to improve our platforms on various topics (such as billing engines, indexing and caching mechanisms, real-time notifications, global performance of the platform), define best/optimized architecture in line with the needs and company's vision, provide recommendations to our developments and infrastructure teams.
Your main duties will be to analyze business and/or technical requirements defined by the product owner or from our operational teams and define the best strategy and architecture to achieve the goals with a focus on performance, scalability and maintainability of our platform; write clean/top quality code, covered with tests, according to best practices and our coding guidelines; document your developments; give feedback and be part of our code review process; work on improving the developments quality & processes.
You will work closely with the Delivery Manager and all other team members to make sure we deliver on time what has been committed for the sprint
What we need from you:
• At least 5 years of experience writing Java enterprise-level applications.
• Familiar with Java 8 API, design patterns and recently added features
• Knowledge of frameworks like Spring 4 (Core, MVC, Security, Batch), Jersey 2, Apache CXF
• Knowledge of SQL is required (MS SQL and QueryDsl is a plus)
• Knowledge of build tools (Maven) and servers (Jenkins)
• Experience in REST endpoints design
• Practical experience with JMS (RabbitMQ) is required
• Deep knowledge of testing principles (FIRST), libraries (JUnit) and methodology (TDD)
• Rigorous when it comes to code quality, write tests, refactor code, ensuring that everything works according to business requirements
• Good knowledge of GIT and GIT Flow
• Strong analytical/architectural skills are required, experience as an architect or working with huge and complex data models is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills. Fluent English is required.
• Knowledge of SCRUM methodology and experience in working with it is required
• Knowledge of Spring Batch, Data, Boot is a plus
• Knowledge of Gradle is a plus
• Knowledge of Groovy and Spock is a plus
• Interest in No-SQL databases (MongoDB) and search engines (Elastic) is a plus.
• Willing to learn many new technologies and to be a part of a constantly improving environment
