Successful candidates will have:
- Ability to design, build and maintain applications in an Agile as well as Waterfall environments.
- Ability to liaise with Business Analysis to support the requirements engineering process as well as conduct effort estimates for the respective project's engineering, testing and integration tasks.
- Excellent technical and interpersonal skills:
- You will be able to understand our partners' requirements and quickly resolve any potential issue both in the project as well as in the productive environment.
- You will be able to communicate to and influence stakeholders.
- 5+ years' experience in similar positions.
- A proven track record in a similar environment:
- Delivering software solutions to demanding product owners, being part of a large and (possibly) distributed team.
- e2e software development lifecycle with focus on the integration of 3rd party components.
- Incident management, problem analysis in a complex environment with remote, multi-tiered installations.
We recruit 'generalizing specialists' who are experienced experts in these core technology areas and users of, or would like to learn, the other technologies:
- J2SE including UI development
- JavaScript, HTML5 and XML
Knowledge in any of 1)-3) of technologies would be beneficial:
1) Core Java and/or Functional programming languages (e.g. Scala)... 2) ...OR a User Interface specialist e.g. Java and Angular experience 3) ...OR a Java resource with Apache Storm, Kafka or Apache Flink experience
Nice to have:
- J2EE incl. design patterns and component architecture (especially EJB and Struts)
- Restful/SOAP service oriented applications
- Test driven development and continuous integration & deployment
- Oracle and/or DB2 databases, SQL
- IT Security (authentication, authorization, cryptography, certificate mgmt., etc.)
- Unix (shell) and Perl scripting
As a developer you will contribute to the design and implementation of a new solution for high volume archiving / big data. It would be a 'green field' development for a critical system that would be used for next 10+ years in a bank. We are looking for front-end, back-end and Scala developers.
