This role will cover all aspects of the development lifecycle and will provide opportunity to shape the future directions of Automated Testing globally in the bank. You are a team player who will participate in driving the architecture and development of the platform. You will understand the business context and interact with the other teams.
- Working closely with multiple development and QA-teams from different geographic regions
- New features' design and development

The candidate will have a consistent track record of demonstrating initiative, collaboration, and strong teamwork skills. He/she will think out of the box and adds value to discussions. Furthermore, he/she will take direction and have a strong focus on delivery.
Requirements:
- Solid Java developer (Java 1.6 and above) with strong technical skills.
- Good knowledge of core java (collections, multithreading, JDBC)
- Strong focus on ownership of issues and commitment to resolving them, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a proven track record of building successful working relationships with peers.
- Knowledge of relational databases
- XML/XSD knowledge
- Knowledge and/or experience desirable in UNIX shell scripting and build systems, such as Ant.
- Fluent English
Useful skills:
- Swing-GUI, web-programming is a plus
- Hibernate hands-on experience is a plus
- Agile development experience including JUnit/TestNG/TDD and Groovy is a big plus

The candidate will be working in Krakow for the major investment bank. The team is responsible for designing and developing test automation frameworks of a wide variety of Sales and Trading systems across the bank, covering different geographic regions. The automated testing team is recognized as being a tremendous asset for business in this area within the bank.
One of these frameworks is an automated testing system. It's a Swing-client Eclipse-like IDE having an agile Groovy-based scripting language for writing and executing complex tests against trading/sales-components across the bank. The system is used globally by development and QA-teams from Europe, US and Singapore and allows conducting functional testing of trading streams as well as realistic performance testing.
Another strategic framework being developed in the team is an exchange-simulator. The goal is to deliver OSGi-based framework providing simulation of real markets giving a great opportunity to join the effort at an early stage.
