Senior Java Developer

Responsibilites
- Design and develop high performance components/sub-systems for a highly scalable service oriented software platform.
- Use best practices and architectural rigor during the software design process, providing input on alternative strategies and solutions.
- Write well-documented, extensible software code that is easy to maintain and that adheres to generally accepted programming standards and OOP practices.
- Collaborate with peers on technical design, work estimation and implementation of new features including UI aspects and server APIs.
- Own the overall quality of your code including unit testing, functional testing and performance.
- Produce and maintain technical designs and documentation relevant to assigned software development task.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working in all stages of production cycle, from rapid prototypes to production-ready code.
- 3+ years professional web development experience.
- Extensive use of APIs and a strong understanding of HTTP and REST architecture.
- Highly proficient in JAVA and strong understanding of multi-thread programming.
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks like EXtJS, AngularJS and BackboneJS.
- Excellent grasp of OOP concepts, Design Patterns and MVC frameworks.
- Experience analyzing and defining requirements and translating them into technical specifications and architecture.
- Knowledge of DBMS and database architecture and normalization.
- Experience with web security, web services, web scalability techniques and web usage analytics.
- Experience with source control and issue tracking systems as well as debugging tools.
- Strong problem solving, analytical and object-oriented programming skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, teamwork and time management abilities.
