Senior Java Developer

Responsibilites
- Work as part of a small team in performance monitoring and improving for SRP components
- Create automated performance monitoring solutions
- Profile code and look for performance bottlenecks
- Improve implementation/design to achieve better performance
- Communicate design ideas and take part in peer reviews
- Interact with other IT developers who are users of said components
Requirements
- Pro-active, self-starter, able to communicate efficiently
- Strong problem solving skills
- Good understanding of computational complexity
- Solid background in performance analysis within complex software environments
- Experience working on large projects and sizeable team.
- Experience of being involved in delivering large scale distribute systems
- Experience with multi-threaded distributed systems, messaging systems, core Java;
- Experience with CPU and memory profiling
- Experience with identifying performance hot-spots
- Deep understanding of core Java libraries such as concurrency, collections and IO
- Good knowledge of Java profiling tools
- Good grasp of refactoring techniques
- Demonstrable Java testing skills
- Undergraduate degree in computer science or similar (e.g. math or EE)
- Fluent written and spoken English is a must.
