We are currently looking for a highly skilled individual with deep software development and engineering skills who would join Odyssey engineering team as Software Librarian to help us to develop and support bank's Definitive Software Library - Odyssey Artifactory Service.
Odyssey is the name of a project to standardize the software development practices and software development assets within the bank. Odyssey Artifacts available via the service are used by all development projects within IT to resolve external open source, commercial as well as internal dependencies in order to maintain portable builds. Odyssey Artifactory service allows projects to publish their software artifacts from automated builds for deployment or consumption by others hence making Odyssey Artifactory a core service for every software construction project in the bank.
As Software Librarian/Odyssey SME your main responsibilities will be to:
- Develop and maintain bank's Definitive Software Library service based on JFrog's Artifactory
- Contribute to the development of Odyssey platform and assure the Artifactory service integration with other components of the project
- Provide expertise on software dependencies conflict resolution and management
- Provide expertise on software configuration management good practices
- Provide 3rd level support for the community and liaise with 1st and 2nd level support team
- Identify opportunities for service improvements and solve issues by automating repetitive tasks
- Create and update product-/process documentation and service knowledge-base
- Act as Odyssey Subject Matter Expert for IT Community
- At least 4-5 years of documented experience in delivery of software construction projects
- Strong knowledge of software configuration management and various repository management systems
- Strong Application development background with a focus on Java, Grails/Groovy in an enterprise environment
- Deep expertise in software construction process, life-cycle and application development good practices
- Understanding of software quality management and assurance principles
- Familiarity with software development tools such as: JIRA, Confluence, SVN, Fisheye/Crucible and others
- Experience with continuous integration servers (TeamCity, Jenkins, ...)
- Ability to partner with senior stakeholders both in the team and across teams
- Dedicated self-starter, ability to drive a team and its contribution
- Good English language skills is a must
Nice to have:
- Apache/Tomcat skills
- Track record on Linux java application debugging and tuning
- Experience with REST API
- Work experience in large multinational corporations
- Familiarity with agile methodologies
