Senior Java/Scala Software Engineer for Automotive Project

Responsibilites
As Senior Software Engineer, you will be working within a team of highly skilled product owners, developers and architects. Your role is to actively:
- Design, test and maintain production level software using Java/Scala
- Review, comment and improve code written by your peers
- Integrate Client Data Services products into a fully functional software system
Requirements
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related field
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Solid experience in Java (Scala is a plus), designing and building distributed, scalable and high-performance services on the JVM platform
- Extensive knowledge of software engineering best practices, covering the full software engineering lifecycle
- Experience in mentoring engineering peers in complex technical issues, ability to influence software engineering best practices within your team
- Good communication skills, ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex topics
Knowledge in following areas would be a plus:
- Working knowledge of embedded software
- Experience in working with Gerrit
- Analytical approach and problem solving skills
- Experience in working in the automotive industry
