This is a senior development role and as such the candidate may be required to work without direct supervision while still adhering to agreed upon project specifications and timelines.
- Hands on SNOW Engineer to architect, design and implement CTO Portal platform on Helsinki SNOW platform.
- Demonstrate expertise in web application development, utilizing current industry standard tools and framework
- Create automated test plans and write tests
- Program daily in AngularJS, JQuery, Bootstrap and other JS libraries.
- Build out restful endpoints and lightweight aggregation layers.
- Collaborate with business analysts and back-end developers to define functional requirements and translate them into technical requirements
- Rapidly design, prototype and iterate on creative concepts to meet the user requirements
- Work with technology partners and vendors as required
- Maintain a delivery-orientated approach to delivering content to the portal
- Provide Technical leadership and strategic direction to team.
- Partnering with CoE’s and other regional teams to enhance the team’s operational support model and processes for continued scalability to the business
- Deal quickly with changing priorities (e.g. new regulatory requirements).
- Own and understand the front-to-back software and hardware technology profile of the Portal and understand related systems and data flows firm wide.
- Participate in code reviews.
Answer technical inquiries on code base and product Lead the way with writing programmatic unit tests.
Specific deliverables includes
- SNOW Service Portal Design in Helsinki
- SNOW UI design, form creation and workflow coding:
o Redesign UI Layout
o Improve Product/Service landing page
- SNOW workflow/integration coding:
o Portal Integration
o CMS
Must Have:
- Minimum 2-3 years of ServiceNow experience is essential. Involvement in multiple major implementations in Investment Banking IT with Operations background would be beneficial
- Real world web and service development experience in SNOW Helsinki version. Experience with Service Portal Designer.
- Proven expertise in some common Javascript frameworks such as Angular, JQuery and Bootstrap to demonstrate ability to adopt new frameworks as technologies evolve.
- Experience with web services API integration (Rest, JSON, XML).
- Understanding of general user experience and UI design principles.
- Ability to understand requirements and map to technical implementation.
- Unix/Linux experience is required. Sound knowledge of version control & debugging tools
- Self-motivated and a team player with good problem solving skills
Good analytical, problem solving and decision making skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure
Desirable:
- Experience of technical business analysis
- Experience of systems management products and concepts (Configuration and Inventory, Event Management)
- Experience of infrastructure engineering in a global banking environment
- Understanding of the ITIL framework
The project is connected with an infrastructure engineering organization. We are responsible for lifecycle management and engineering of all current and future infrastructure products, platforms and services. The portal has been identified as a key deliverable in our Service Transformation project. Additional benefits include improving quality and time to market of other dependent solutions.
