Join a Greenfield project which ambition is to provide the next generation risk reporting and analysis platform for the bank (IB / PB) to fulfill the regulatory requirements as well as add value for the business.
Part of the front end team, your primary responsibility will be to develop the web client core components as well as help and develop specific application for the projects using the platform. Focus is on the user experience, performance and reliability. It is an opportunity to work with smart people and build the components that will be reused by the bank across all businesses (Front to Back) as part of the Strategic Risk Program.
You will work in a diverse team made of senior developers covering a wide range of technologies including .Net, HTML5/Javascript and Java.
You will have a passion for writing clean code and demonstrate enthusiasm for Front End Technologies - JavaScript, CSS and HTML.
Strong frontend development skills are a must and an overall passion for web development and technologies. You will be responsible for the planning and development of new features and documentation for our application and other related products. The code you write should be clean, modular and testable.
Specific requirements:
- 2+ years developing complex web clients / single-page-applications.
- Experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Ajax (JSON/XML/XHTML) and HTML 5
- Experience working with AngularJS (or other JavaScript framework)
- A commitment to test-driven JavaScript development, and the practical use of design patterns
- Pragmatic approach towards tackling unforeseen challenges
- Excellent core computer science knowledge (data structures, memory management, performance prediction, concurrency).
- Experience of Agile development methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills
- Creative, curious and willing to learn.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
- High degree of flexibility and "can do" attitude.
Other qualities that will make you a stronger candidate:
- A degree in computer science or related field
- Understanding of RESTful web services
- Knowledge of Jasmine, Mocha, or other JS testing framework
- Experience using modern web development tools such as NodeJS, Grunt, Maven, etc.
- Experience of real-time and web sockets.
- Good understanding of project lifecycles in complex technical environments.
- Experience with dashboard solutions a plus.
The objective of the Core Visualization and Reporting stream is to provide high quality risk visualization tools and distribution service for use across multiple projects. The Risk Portal offers end users ability to design, upload & review reports prior to publishing them. Each report can either be an interactive report or a standard pdf report.
