Material engineer has comprehensive responsibilities for managing materials projects related to Home appliances products from a technology and business perspective (Cost, quality and Innovation) primarily in a European context. The position requires working in close cooperation with functions like: Development - Procurement and Manufacturing and to keep teaming relations with counterparts located in different Factories and Regions. Lead materials projects from a technical perspective related to metals , resins and coatings.
- Select and specify proper materials package for given component at working conditions, define component design criteria to achieve optimized coverage and performances,
- Provide consultation within specific areas of expertise, solve problem and use of advance laboratory measurements systems,
- Work in quality, cost optimization and development mega and major projects.
- Ensure the application of Robust Design tools in all the aspects of resins activities.
- Statistical methods utilization for problem solving
- Technical University Degree and depth knowledge of engineering science, practices, and procedures pertaining to Materials Technology
- Working knowledge of practical issues involving related process partners At least 3 years experience on relevant position
- Knowledge of business tools in the areas of financial analysis and productivity Measurement
- Knowledge of instruments and testing methods for full materials engineering laboratory operation knowledge and practice
- Project management and planning skills
- Fluent in English
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Six Sigma tools knowledge will be considered as additional value for the selection
- Ability to build relationship and network across multiple international organization functions and to handle complexity
- Proactively engage with keys internal and external partners
