Job Description:
The Media Monitoring Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, tagging and summarizing social and digital news items (social media content, newswire and newspaper articles, online news channel articles, tv clips, radio clips).
Key responsibilities:
- Overall team management focus including:
- team recruitment
- on-boarding of new joiners
- career development of the group of analysts
- managing the changes and effectively engage the team
- reading and interpreting (e.g. by topic, importance, sentiment) of news items / data
- analyzing the data using the analytics platforms and draw conclusions
- writing editorial summaries of content from selected news items and data
- preparing the reports in specific language
- Day to day operational responsibility for the timely and high quality driven analysis of digital media for the entire scope of services of digital media monitoring including:
- reading and interpreting (e.g. by topic, importance, sentiment) of news items / data
- analyzing the data using the analytics platforms and draw conclusions
- writing editorial summaries of content from selected news items and data
- preparing the reports in specific language
- maintaining and adaption of search strings to identify relevant news items
- Fluent English and German / Italian / French / Spanish / Dutch (written and spoken)
- Proven experience in team management including delegation, career development and managing change within the team
- Positive attitude towards changes and challenges with focus on out of box thinking
- Ability to freely write editorial summaries about complex business in high quality to capture the most important aspects
- Ability to understand / conclude on text abstracts in particular
- Proven interest in social media channels, media relations, journalism and / or translating
- Analytical skills and abilities
- Mindset for learning business domain knowledge
- Proven experience in analyzing and summarizing traditional and / or on-line media will be an asset
- Knowledge of media monitoring tools will be an asset
