Senior MicroStrategy Engineer

Responsibilites
- Maintain communication between business stakeholders and the team
- Building good client relationship
- Running and maintaining MicroStrategy v9\v10
- Providing business knowledge/context to the team by assisting, consulting, training etc.
- Requirements management (gathering, tracking, validation, documenting)
- Business domain modelling, dimensional data modelling
- High-level requirements management (product roadmap, strategy, vision, ideas)
- Proposes options and defines the benefits of each (pros/cons/risks)
- Guidance, drives, shares knowledge with junior and regular BIs
Requirements
- Proven experience (3 years +) of front and back end development using Microstrategy v9/v10
- Experience of analysing stakeholder/business requirements and developing solutions
- Good understanding and knowledge of dimensional data modelling within the data warehouse. Proven experience of using Logical data models and different types of hierarchies within Microstrategy.
- Experience working with the full life cycle development process, which includes analysis, design, development and testing
- Strong SQL skills and ability to create simple to complex schema objects
- Experience in working with complex Microstrategy reports using advanced filters, level metrics, transformation metrics and pass-through function in the schema objects
- Good presentation skills with the ability to present data/information in a simple and meaningful manner using dashboards, reports or Visual insight
- Ability to troubleshoot and tune Microstrategy reports to determine and fix data issues, incorrect joins and performance issues
- Experience in Microstrategy System Administration:- Set up new users, promotion of reports from Dev, UAT and Prod, software upgrades, Report scheduling etc
- Excellent business problem-solving skills.
