Job description
What a Software Developer does at SolarWinds:
- Designs and implements cool features that make our customers happy
- Works on complex, technical problems and provides elegant solutions
- Enjoys reviewing code of others to both learn and teach
- Responsible for unit-testing software features, products, and solutions
- Collaborate with Product Strategy and Management in refining product requirements
- Work with Product Owners to break down business requirements
- Communicate as an expert in product architecture and features and explain the design and intent of such work
- Work with customers in clarifying requirements and reviewing software design to meet their needs
Requirements
What is required to succeed in this position:
- Experience writing SOLID C# code
- Ability to write good unit tests
- Experience in building Ethernet, Wireless, and/or TCP/IP networking applications, products or solutions
- Experience in a Windows and/or Linux/Unix OS development environment
What would be helpful (and we are willing to help with it if needed):
- Experience with web development using ASP.NET and client-side frameworks (jQuery, AngularJS)
- Experience using C, C++ or Java
- Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, SNMP, NETCONF/RESTCONF, MPLS, OpenFlow, SIP, SDP, Netflow, IPFIX, ... etc.
- Experience in Linux and Open-Source development methodology
