Our Customer is one of the world's largest investment management companies. Based in Southern California, our client manages close to $2 trillion in assets and is looking for a new partner to participate in a full scale upgrade of their technology. We have a huge opportunity to impress them and earn a large share of their new and existing business.
The Project:
Separately Managed Accounts (SMA) Adapter project is a foundation for a brand new process that allows accurate distribution of positions held by sponsor accounts outside of client within client's ecosystems (solving for investment discretion reporting per Section 13(f)(g) of 1934 Act)
The adapter encapsulates custom business logic of position distribution and supported by several data feeds: position data from sponsor accounts, model of distribution and a reference date to support the process. The end result will enable proper representation of holdings in various downstream consumers (FO, portfolio modelling, reporting etc). Specific scenarios of sponsor activity would be routed through the adapter intraday to client order placement and trading, reconciled later. The adapter will be integrated with common client's platforms for system health monitoring.
