Senior .NET Developer

Responsibilites
Possess a desire to learn the securities business - multiple asset classes
- Embrace interaction with business groups (e.g. traders, quantitative analysts) and other IT teams
- Familiarize themselves with the Client technology and infrastructure
- Design and implement new functionality in Primo, this includes both developing new code and implementing large-scale config and script changes.
- Ad-hoc system analysis and investigation - problem solving
- Take ownership of their work and drive it forward within minimal supervision
- Communicate design ideas and take part in peer reviews
- Utilize Test Driven and Agile development techniques
- Participate actively and constructively in team discussions
- Understand the current applications and business processes
Requirements
Must have:
Strong design and development skills in C#.Net and have a solid background of object and component oriented design techniques.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Economics or a Mathematical Science or equivalent professional experience.
- Significant experience as a software engineer in a business focused development environment with a working understanding of the full development life cycle.
- The ability to take ownership of issues and follow to resolution
- An innovative approach and methodical analytical style of problem solving
- SQL Server and/or Oracle RDBMS knowledge
- Previous experience in developing robust multi-tier applications and be familiar with technologies such as XML and server-based architectures.
- Fluent English
Nice to have:
- Financial Mathematics or Quantitative Finance experience to degree or postgraduate level or professional qualification such as CFA.
- Front Office experience in Fixed Income and/or Derivative products.
- Microsoft Sql Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
- Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) services
- Grid computing platforms, preferably Platform Symphony
We offer
We will be looking to implement new functionality for these products; sourcing them at position levels, handling the calculations and feeding out the results. The implementation of this functionality will require the use of new strategic components.
Developers will be involved in analysis, design and development.
