Senior QA Engineer

Responsibilites
- Improve and automate test strategies and software configurations.
- Define automation test strategies and test manuals.
- Develop (automate) and execute test cases to diagnose issues and bugs, creating test data when required.
- Participate in defining and communicating best practices.
- Maintain and update tests based on continuous feedback.
Requirements
Mandatory:
- Knowledge of "batches" and how it works
- Familiar with SQL/MDX (simple queries), OLAP, XML
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Communication skills
- Practical knowledge of software development methodologies
- Software testing - theory and practice, software testing experience
- Process awareness (Agile and Waterfall)
- Understanding basics of software development life cycle
- Flexibility & team-player attitude
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to take initiative and responsibility.
Desirable:
- Scripting experience (any script language: shell scripting, python, TCL or VB script)
- Any programming language (C# or Java)
- SQL experience
- Test automation experience (any tools)
- Tools: ALM, JIRA, Team City, SVN,
- ISTQB certifications

Candidate will be part of a big global team responsible for Quality Assurance of strategic Risk applications.
The strategic risk systems are an in-house solution that is being adopted by multiple business lines. This is developed in C#, leveraging TIBCO EMS on app servers. The front-end is a mixture of WinForms, Infragistics and WPF. The system is a multi-tier distributed platform utilizing farming techniques. Close interaction with in-house quants is expected.
