The Quality Department is a support organization that adds value to Motorola customers, the Business, and all other relevant stakeholders by: • Playing the leadership role in driving defect prevention and continual improvement activities • Supporting projects in quantitative management of quality goals • Guiding teams to adjust process to be used in the project to optimize team performance, efficiency, and eliminate waste • Monitoring if the processes selected for projects are followed • Supporting the organization to comply with quality models and standards • Partnering with program and project management organizations in contributing to achievement of world wide Motorola Quality objectives and goals

Scope of Responsibilities/Expectations:
• Performing variety of engineering tasks such as guidance on project planning and tailoring and and will participate in the development of project standards and processes
• Will help project leaders monitor the effectiveness and efficiency of processes and the quality of work products, and will develop improved ways to monitor project and product performance
• Will conduct system, process, and project audits. Will maintain and administer the quality audit program
• Will analyze data and submit reports to support the organizational metrics program
• Will maintain and administer the organizational metrics program.
• Will identify, evaluate, and implement quality related technologies, methods and tools.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
• Should demonstrate understanding of software engineering and quality management processes.
• Should demonstrate the ability to solve problems of diverse nature (using appropriate tools) with minimal guidance.
• Should use analytical and problem solving skills in a creative way.
• Should demonstrate the ability to make informed decisions and document the rationale in a structured manner.
