Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and implement data models for enterprise applications and systems
- Work with developers to extract specifications, developing test scripts and testing of the data extracts and uploads
- Become a part of a team that will be responsible for full lifecycle delivery of a data storage for a part of trading platform
Mandatory requirements:
- experience in db\data models design
- experienced SQL/PLSQL developer
- practical knowledge of peculiarities of Sybase/SAP ASE
Required skills:
- Technical education
- Results-oriented and delivery-focused
- 5+ years of experience working with enterprise-grade DB engines (Sybase/SAP ASE - is a must, MS SQL, Oracle - very welcome)
- Experience developing enterprise systems
- Experience with data modeling, analysis and optimization
- Excellent communication skills/fluent English
- Experience in Fixed income is a big plus
- SQL / PLSQL
- experience as DBA would be a plus
- Toad and Power Designer
- UNIX (Linux or Solaris)
Our program was started as the migration of the financial instruments trading legacy mainframe system to a new technical, highly-scalable platform. The success of the program in both the migration and creation of a scalable platform led to it being selected as the strategic platform providing full-scale of advisory services for one of the biggest financial institutions in the world. This has led to significant further investment for legacy system migrations and technical improvements. Currently we have teams across several locations (Weehawken, Kiev, Krakow) on those projects.
Reengineer set of existing applications and introduce additional application interface layer, allowing to query underlying data from third-party applications.
