The role is part of a project team tasked with working on Service Catalog projects:
- Creating/Maintaining a Request framework to allow easier onboarding of new services / catalog items
- Creating/Supportiong an end to end server provisioning tool (MyOrders). The tool will include solutions that are No Touch (fully automated from request to delivery of virtual instances) to Hi Touch (manual intervention is required for management of physical hardware).
The work includes creation and development of new solutions; as well as enhancements and defect remediation of solutions already in production
- Provide technical solutions to support Business Analysis
- Ensure that solutions comply with Credit Suisse SNOW coding standards
- Ensure that solutions adheres to both CS architectural infrastructure whilst being in line with SNOW recommendations for optimal performance
- Develop solutions as per requirement specification and in line with Credit Suisse coding standards
- Create interfaces into automation and orchestration platforms
- Work with Engineering team, Release Manager, Testing Team and deployment team to support migration of solutions to the various environments (Sandbox through to Production)
- Handover of all code and solutions to Support teams
Specific deliverables includes
- SNOW form creation and workflow coding:
o CS ordering replacement (Provisioning Request Tool) for Rebuild/Upgrade/Move requests
o Order Request Cloning
o Creation of ‘Favourite’ Requests
- SNOW UI design, form creation and workflow coding:
o Redesign UI Layout
o Improve Product/Service landing page
- SNOW workflow/integration coding:
o Portal Integration
o Compute server cloning
o Automated Compute VM Decommissioning
o Order Request Prioritization process
o Database ordering automation fulfilment
Shifting priorities require an agile mindset and being able to re-prioritize work effectively and rapidly.
Effective communication is important to work with BA’s/Testers in multiple locations and timezones
Essentials Skills and Qualifications:
- Min 4 years’ experience working on ServiceNow, and in-depth technical knowledge of the ServiceNow modules with specific focus on:
o ServiceNow specific Core Platform Engineering skills
o ServiceNow workflow development skills
o ServiceNow systems integration skills
o Advanced Java script skills (experience using ServiceNow’s Glide library is a must); Jelly, AngularJS
o ServiceNow UI and CMS development (HTML and CSS are a must, Jelly is highly desirable)
- ServiceNow Developer/Administrator certification
- Proficient in Javascript
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Complex problem solving skills
- Ability to convey complex technical information both to engineers, managers as well as non-technical customers
- Contagious enthusiasm fueled by a desire to be best in class
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience of technical business analysis
- Experience of systems management products and concepts (Configuration and Inventory, Event Management)
- Experience of infrastructure engineering in a global banking environment
- Prior implementation experience of orchestration infrastructure
- Understanding of the ITIL framework
This role is with the CTO Services Engineering group which is Credit Suisse's infrastructure engineering organization. We are responsible for lifecycle management and engineering of all current and future infrastructure products, platforms and services. We also oversee technology programs maximizing both fulfillment of business requirements and value of the product portfolio. CTO ES leads and prioritizes engineering resources and projects to enable development of new services and products on time and within budget. We support all the other business lines of the bank like Investment banking, Capital Markets, Wealth Management etc.
The Credit Suisse Center of Excellence in Poland for Enterprise Services team is significantly strengthening its presence by rapidly increasing its existing team with various new IT Infrastructure Engineering roles.
Orchestration and automation of our infrastructure has been identified as a key deliverable in reducing our total cost of ownership. Additional benefits include improving quality and time to market of other dependent solutions.
To this end a new team was formed to deliver a global orchestration capability.
