We are looking for an employee who will support to establish a best in class shipping setup out of our factory in Szczecin. You will report directly to our Logistics Manager in Szczecin and supervise our shipping department of 8 employees covering all shipping related tasks from the factory and around the world.
- Daily coordination and lead of all Shipping activities to meet deadlines
- Staff supervision in coordination with the Logistics manager
- Performance measuring and reporting – inclusive report development
- Be the internal expert of Import/Export terms and conditions, herein secure all necessary international bookings and process will meet the needed requirements
- Act as a liaison with 3Shape key Customs on optimal freight solution and key contact for Sales team and domestic subsidiaries and factories
- Track and trace shipments, researching and resolving any issues regarding shipping discrepancies, communicate timely correspondence back to customers
- Managing the Continues Improvement initiatives to improve and streamline processes
- Maintain QMS fulfilment and structured follow-up at SOP’s and procedures
- Develop and implement new WI and/or SOP where required
- Support in the development of the ERP system and Shipment booking systems
- Make sure safety rules and regulations will be followed by the shipping team
Besides ensuring great day-to-day execution and planning, you have a solid toolbox including strong knowledge about special shipment handling to foreign markets like China, US, Brazil, Australia etc. You will work with many stakeholders, internally and externally, so your hands-on energy and strong background will bring you fare.
- Education: Graduate- Technical School (preferable within Shipping)
- You hold 3+ years of experience within a Shipping admin position
- Good and proven knowledge in complex Import/Export terms and conditions for foreign countries (outside EU) is required for this position.
- Proven experience in supervision of teams and cooperate in a multicultural organisation
- You know the ways of keeping a good and structured cooperation with transport providers, Brokers, and other external stakeholders.
- High level of customer centric approach and understanding of good service is required
- Computer literacy – High level of Excel knowledge required
- Knowledges and experience in ERP (we use Axapta)
- You know how to capture data and analyse it as a part of the business development
- MDSAP/BSI/FDA Audit experiences/understanding is an advantage
- Fluent in English, as this is our company language and used in all aspects of shipping
