Software Architect (Regular or Senior)

Requirements:

• Experience designing and implementing features for a large commercial software application.
• Strong problem solving skills
• Strong command of one or more of the following languages C#, .NET, Java, C, Python, Ruby
• Experience with unit testing and good understanding what unit tests are good for
• Solid understanding of the development processes and practices
• Most of all we want you to be an enthusiastic, talented engineer, developing great products, just as we are

• Your experience designing and implementing features for a large commercial software application
• Your complex problem solving capability
• Your command of one or more of the following languages: C#, .NET, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, C, Python, Ruby
• Your in-depth knowledge of server-side components such as SQL databases, message queuing systems, deployment tools
• You can use any technology or language you wish for developing prototypes and research

• Agile SW development methods and experience with tools like Jira/Rally
• Test driven development and continuous integration experience
• SQL database design, Windows Server application design

Responsibilities:

• You will be guiding the architecture of our flagship platform
• This platform underlies the products in the Network Management and Systems Management space that drive the majority of the company’s revenue
• This high-profile position will be part of a small, talented, and distributed group of platform and product architects each focusing on an individual product or a product line
• You will be working closely with product strategy to identify and solve architectural challenges for upcoming releases
• You will also work closely with product owners and engineering leads to ensure we maintain and achieve architectural quality goals for our platform
• Lastly, you will research future product initiatives, which may produce prototypes, design documents, or training sessions for the engineering teams
• You and the entire platform architecture team will work closely with the other architect teams (product architecture and technology strategy) to shepherd in technology, products, and standards into the platform
