Software Development Engineer in Test
Warsaw
Purpose
The role of the Software Development Engineer is to improve games testing approach and introduce efficiencies through defining the scope of test frameworks and the integration of test automation and tool creation.
Responsibilities:
- Build partnerships with counterpart test engineering groups and developers
- Design test framework, automation and tools strategies
- Work with the developers early in the development cycle to integrate testing frameworks and tools that will benefit the development and testing process
- Work alongside other internal and external teams to create new automation and tool solutions to improve the testing approach
- Discuss automation/tools with Test Leads and Testers with the aim to constantly evolve tools development and methodologies
- Proposing solutions to test backend services. This would include stress, performance, security, privacy, scalability and latency
- Review administration requirements with Test Leads and Management and create tools for effective project tracking, project reports, test case creation and defect analysis
- Processing and formatting data into readable and useful metrics for analysis and trends
- Conduct test automation and tools training sessions for the test teams
so there is a better understanding of the benefits
Position Requirements
Experience:
- 3+ year software test engineer experience, including automation and tools development for games
- Can read, design and write C++ and C#
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Created tools for PC/Console games
- Unity 3d
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate with other team members of all levels and provide suggestions and constructive feedback
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Passion for video games
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in English (verbal and written)
- Understands the game development process a plus
