Job purpose is to work within a Remote Infrastructure Management team. You will provide responsive, professional and competent technical Software Packaging support for our Customers. You will be part of a fast growing RIM facility with focus on establishing global service delivery department.
- Software packaging using MSI technology
- Software packaging using virtualization technologies including AppV (App-V 5.0)
- Perform Quality Assurance activities to ensure package integrity
- Perform testing on customer environments
- Perform application compatibility and migration testing
- Assist with writing and updating procedure documentation for Software Packaging
- Incident, Service Request and Change Management activities – internal and external communication handled in English
- To develop an understanding of the Customer’s environment and service requirements to enable successful delivery of the service
- To follow established procedures, recommend improvements and resolve enquiries, issues or problems.
- To take ownership of issues identified. To co-operate with an account team and/or vendor support to provide technical input into incident and problem resolution process
- To escalate issues as necessary to deliver required service level
- Excellent knowledge of software packaging tools such as Admin Studio, InstallShield, Wise and InstEd It
- Knowledge of different ITSMs
- Good detailed knowledge of Windows operating systems and their internal components in both 32 and 64-bit configurations (Windows 7 & Windows 10)
- Use of snapshot and monitoring tools to analyze application behaviors
- Self-motivated, team player with great communication skills and business understanding
- B2 level of spoken and written English including technical vocabulary
- Packaging tools usage to produce MSI packages for legacy applications and MSTs to transform Vendor based MSI’s
- Knowledge of Microsoft Application Virtualization Sequencer to produce AppV packages
- Knowledge of Scripting Languages such as VBS, to customize Packages and Application
- Use VMware products to test package installation and functionality
Good to have:
- Experience in SCCM enterprise software rollouts
- Migrations experience between Windows platforms
- Familiar with creation and maintenance Windows Images
