Solaris System Administrator

Responsibilites
- Contribute to vulnerability meetings, taking vulnerability fixes through the engineering process and make it available in internal tools
- To take the patch from a vendor, test on a couple of systems, wrap into a script so that can be deployed to hundreds of systems, write some testing and evidence and upload to internal deployment system so that it can be deployed.
- Collocation with the Team who operate the process at the moment
Requirements
Experience dealing with security Vulnerabilities
- understand CVSS
- rating and understanding vulnerabilities
- Strong documentation skills
- Managing patches at scale (5000+ hosts)
Solaris
- experience dealing with Oracle CPU
- Experience working with Solaris patches, their dependencies and how they are managed
- bash & perl (preferred) skills
- good general understanding of Solaris OS system administration
